About LTESBD08
LTESBD08, a call for “The 1st International Conference on Long Time Effects and Seepage Behavior of Dams”, is a coming international conference jointly organized by Hohai University (HHU), Tsinghua University (THU), Graz University of Technology, Austria (TU-Graz), University of Innsbruck, Austria (UIBK), Vienna University of Technology, Austria (TU Wien), Organizing Committee of GEDMAR08, Chinese National Committee on Large Dams (CHINCOLD), China Society of Hydropower Engineering (CSHE).
LTESBD08 will be held during May 31 and June 2, 2008 in Nanjing, China.
Under LTESBD08’s main theme – long time effects and seepage behavior of dams, proposed sub-themes may include but are not limited to:
1. Long time behavior of earth dams, rock fill dams, concrete dams (RCC and conventional concrete dams)
2. Seepage under saturated and unsaturated conditions
3. Dam monitoring and analysis methods
4. Foundation – structure interaction
5. Measures for improving long time behaviors of dams
Mathematical models, experimental studies, in-situ observations, analytical and numerical investigations, dam designing, construction and operation will be addressed during this conference.
As the first conference, LTESBD08 will also provide unique forum for engineers, academics, construction equipment and materials manufacturers, suppliers, and government officials to present and exchange the latest developments and case histories related to long time effects and seepage behavior of dams.
